PlugPlay Hemp Lead Outside Sales Representative – Florida (CPG Beverage)

The Opportunity

We are an established brand with a strong market presence, and we are now introducing a new line of hemp‑derived beverages. We are seeking someone who can lead the launch and drive sales efforts for our hemp‑derived beverage line in Florida, building distribution, opening accounts, and establishing our presence in the market from day one. This role requires a self‑starter who can create momentum without an existing footprint and confidently educate accounts on a new product category.

This position is ideal for someone with strong CPG experience who wants greater autonomy, ownership, and influence than a traditional sales role — while still operating within a well‑structured, growth‑oriented organization. As the Florida market scales, this role is expected to evolve into building and managing a sales team.


What You’ll Do

Primary Duties (Outside Sales)

• Serve as the primary outside sales lead for the Florida market

• Conduct door‑to‑door field sales to open new retail and on‑premise accounts

• Regularly travel throughout your assigned territory to meet customers, pitch products, and drive distribution

• Build and manage relationships with retailers, buyers, distributors, and key decision-makers

• Execute in‑person account visits, product demonstrations, tastings, and promotional activation

• Lead new distribution efforts, sell‑in initiatives, and placement opportunities directly with account owners


Territory Ownership & Reporting

• Develop and execute the Florida territory strategy with a focus on sales growth and account penetration

• Track daily field activity, account pipeline, sales results, and distribution metrics using CRM tools

• Provide organized market insights, reporting, and recommendations to senior leadership

• Establish playbooks and best practices for future outside sales hires


Ideal Background & Attributes

• 3–6 years of CPG sales experience (beverage strongly preferred)

• Experience with Acumatica preferred but not required; must be able to learn it

• Experience at an established CPG company or structured sales organization

• Proven success in territory‑based outside sales and opening new accounts

• Strong experience with field selling, cold outreach, and door‑to‑door customer engagement

• Understanding of velocity, sell‑through, merchandising, and placement strategies

• Familiarity with retail, on‑premise, and foodservice channels

• Experience working with distributors, brokers, or DSD partners

• Comfortable performing resets, launches, and merchandising work during account visits

• Highly organized with strong routing, follow‑up, and pipeline‑tracking skills

• Entrepreneurial, ownership‑driven mindset — treats the territory like their own business

• Based in Florida with the ability to travel frequently throughout the state


Compensation

Competitive base salary + performance‑based commission
